Sunday Shred :: Backside Trimmer Treadmill HIIT

Cardio/HIITWhitney Carlson12 Comments

Wow! The response to our Sunday Shred HIIT Cardio Routines has been fabulous! Many of you have asked for different routines (which I am hoping to get to every other Sunday!), as well as another treadmill routine. Well, here's that treadmill routine. It's just you and your treadmill this time! Make sure you have a watch that counts the seconds or a gym boss interval timer, as you will be turning the power off on your treadmill and will lose the functionality of the time feature.

This is my favorite recipe so far!  I haven't had real cookie dough in a long time and I am the kind of person who prefers to eat the cookie dough instead of the cookie. I have had this recipe in the works for weeks now trying to perfect it. Let me know what you think!

Clean Eat Recipe: Cookie Dough!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c gluten free quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 c natural peanut butter
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract (avoid HFCS)
  • 2 squares of dark chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 c egg whites (make sure you use the 100% egg whites, pasteurized)
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Directions:

1. Add all ingredients to a blender.

2. Place wax paper on a plate & add cookie dough.

3. This is the hard part...put them in the freezer for at least an hour.  I have found that after 2 hours they taste the best!

Can you tell that we LOVE this recipe?

Makes 15 pieces (that is if all of your dough makes it into the freezer). ;-)

He & She Tip: You can add protein powder or more almond milk, if needed.

Alternate Method: If you prefer your cookie dough in a cup like the picture below, use oat flour or blend the oats into a flour texture. You can also use cashew butter instead of peanut butter.

Let us know if you love them too!

She Sweats :: Star Spangled Sweat-Off

Cardio/HIITWhitney Carlson6 Comments

Happy Independence Day!

Not sure if you have time for a quick workout today with all of the festivities for July 4th? Try this one on for size, the Star Spangled Sweat-Off!

The exercises described in this plan are body weight exercises and need no equipment. All you need is a timer and a stair, a bench, a chair or a sofa for the tricep dips! Complete each exercise in a minute, continuing on to the next exercise immediately. Do a total of three sets of the exercises and you will have completed a challenging 30 minute interval workout!

Total calories burned from this workout depend on your current physical health, body weight and intensity to which you perform the exercise. Everyone will be different; however, most will burn from 300-500 calories during these 30 minutes.

Good luck and Happy Fourth of July!
