Lemonade Iced Tea

Whitney Carlson2 Comments

Each new season brings different memories, emotions, and preferred food! Summer is no exception. We think of cookouts, water, family, and fun! Using our grill, we are able to bring our friends and family together. With all of the stress and feeling of constant connection (even when we don't want it!) this world brings, it's hard to take a step back and really focus on what really matters in life. Spending time with friends and family around a healthy meal allows us the time to really re-focus and relax. We also use our cookouts as a way to prepare extra food for the week!

Recently, we made our zesty grilled chicken, lean mean cheeseburgers, zesty grilled onion, sweet-sweet potato cubes and green beans. We paired it with our very own Lemonade Iced Tea using Lipton fresh-brewed iced tea for the perfect meal!

Lemonade Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 family sized Lipton tea bags
  • 1-2 lemons
  • Stevia or your choice of sweetener

Directions:

Brew tea as listed on carton:

  1. 2 tea bags with 4 cups of boiling water
  2. brew for 3-5 minutes
  3. add ice or 4 more cups of water

Make lemonade:

  1. Slice 1-2 lemons and squeeze into a cup of water
  2. Add lemonade to large pitcher with tea and stir to combine
  3. Sweeten to taste

We both grew up drinking tea and it's something that we've continued. We still love to include tea into our daily lives. It's great to change it up from plain water and is really easy to make. Plus, it gives an added boost of a little caffeine (45mg of caffeine per 8 fl oz serving).

Visit Food Network for a ton of recipes, articles, and videos. One of my favorite articles is 8 Ways to Jazz Up Iced Tea! I think our next tea will be the Lemon-Cinnamon. I would have never thought to put those two together but it sounds delicious!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Lipton. The opinions and text are all mine.
