Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Water

This apple cider vinegar detox drink is a great alternative to plain water or the expensive "healthy" drinks we love! I really believe that this drink helps cut down on bloating because of the combination of the lemon and apple cider vinegar. I've been drinking it every day and I love the extra boost of energy that comes along with it! Read more about the benefits of ACV here.

This is a detox water that you drink along with your clean, healthy meals...it is not designed to be a full-fledged cleanse, rather it should be used to reduce bloating and water weight. It's perfect to drink when you are about a week away from a big event.

Directions: Add all ingredients to a cup and mix. We usually put ours into a blender bottle!

Strawberry Lemonade Detox Water

Ingredients:

  • 1 c filtered water
  • 1/2 c lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3 TBSP apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 c strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 c ice

Directions:

  1. Combine water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar and honey in a mason jar or glass container with removable lid. Stir with a wire whisk to ensure contents are well mixed. 
  2. Add strawberries and ice. Place lid on container, ensuring container is well closed.
  3. Place in refrigerator for approximately 2 hours to provide strawberries time to infuse into lemonade. 
  4. Add additional ice if you would like, drink and enjoy!

This is so good! I've been eating this lately as my "last meal" before bed. It really satisfies my sweet tooth and provides the protein I need. I have even used it as "icing" on the chocolate protein bars and clean cookie cake!

Eat Clean Recipe: Four Ingredient Protein Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 scoop of protein powder
  • 1 small scoop stevia
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together until combined.
  2. Place in refrigerator for approximately one hour or the freezer for 30 minutes.
  3. Enjoy!

He and She Tip: If you want the consistency to be more like ice cream, freeze it for at least an hour. If you want the consistency to be more like icing, refrigerate it for at least an hour.
